Since we are almost done with our Creation to the Greeks study, I wanted to go ahead and start putting together resources for next year. This page will be a work in progress and I hope my girls will enjoy the learning!
:) Vicki
We will be using Volume 2 of Story of the World and I was so excited to find a website someone else has put together with video resources for this book. Some of the links may be broken but at least I won't have to work quite as hard this year! Yippie!! (When I get some free time I will try to split the videos out by week.)
Videos to go along with Vol.2:Story of the World and Netflix movies for SOTW. I've also found a YouTube playlist for Medieval Times that may have some videos of use. Also on YouTube is a My Father's World Rome to Reformation playlist part 1 and part 2. David Macaulay books on historical time periods are usually recommended to give a good overview of cities and their buildings. PBS has done a video based on his book Roman City which gives a good overview. It is long so my kids didn't watch it but it gave me the flow of the details. There is also a page with links to his book Castle which should also be very useful. The History Channel has quite a few Middle Ages Videos that you may find interesting.

Thank you for your comment. I have just fixed a glitch that kept me from sending you a reply. I hope you are still finding the links helpful. Blessings to you and your family.
DeleteJust wanted to say THANK YOU for all the work you put into making this list. We used your links last year (Creation to the Greeks) and look forward to using this list for our upcoming school year! Thanks again for sharing these with us --
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled that you have been able to use this site for two years. I pray all the links still work and bring some fun to your studies. Thank you for your kind comment.
DeleteThank you for posting these! I plan to use them next year!
ReplyDeleteI hope the links are helping you have a great school year!!
DeleteHelp :) All the links are telling me that your account has been terminated. Your work has been such a blessing to our homeschool, I would be so sad if we couldn't use this VALUABLE resource.
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer, I clicked a few links and some of them work, but some don't work though because the you tube channel the link is posted from has been taken down. I don't have my own you tube channel; I just pull videos from other people and link to them. I will do my best to find the links that no longer work and fix them. I really hope to have these pages up and running for a long time. My dd will go back to them sometimes just to watch her favorites again. Thank you for letting me know about the trouble with the links :)
